Hi, I'm Jasmine (she/her). I'm a fully qualified integrative counsellor registered with the BACP (409589). I work with individuals both in person (Manchester) and online (across the UK).
I'm open to working with all kinds of people, but I have particular experience of working with women, LGBTQIA+ people, neurodivergent people, and those exploring identity, difference, and belonging.
About me and my practice
What I offer
I offer an inclusive space where you can speak openly, be heard, and explore whats going on for you whether its past experiences, present-day struggles, or big questions about life and identity.
Well go at your pace, with warmth, empathy, and gentle challenge when needed. Together, we can build a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to open up even about things youve never spoken aloud before.
My approach is grounded in intersectional, inclusive, and anti-oppressive practice. I'm mindful of the power dynamics that can exist within the therapy space, and how these might be shaped by race, class, disability, age, gender, and more. I welcome open conversations about these experiences.
Who I usually work with
I work with people aged 18+ navigating a wide range of issues including trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, identity, relationships, and life transitions. I have particular experience working with people whove experienced childhood trauma, and with those exploring who they are in terms of gender, sexuality, race, neurodivergence, or their place in the world. I also work with people drawn to deeper, existential questions about the systems we live in such as capitalism, power, and oppression.
I encourage enquiries from all people, including those who are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or navigating marginalisation in other areas of their life. I've also worked with people working or volunteering in activism and social justice, those exploring class identity, and people experiencing systemic injustice such as racism or ableism. Additionally, I have experience working with people exploring queer joy, intimacy, and identity after trauma, as well as those recently diagnosed or self-identifying as neurodivergent.
Experience
I trained at The Minster Centre, completing a four-year course and graduating with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. Being integratively trained means I can draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, depending on what works best for you. I draw most from person-centered, attachment-based, humanistic and existential approaches.
Alongside counselling, I work in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for a national charity. My background includes working in homelessness services, child protection, and volunteering with refugees.
